Hello,
As a candidate for Toronto City Councillor in Ward 6 Etobicoke-Lakeshore, I am pleased to have the opportunity to represent our community.
Regarding the skateboard park development currently slated for Colonel Sam Smith Park – this is an issue that is very important to me and yourselves alike. It is my goal to seek a “win-win” solution that will preserve the park, and also to build a top-notch skateboard facility at a more appropriate place in our Ward.
I have an idea designed to increase attention to the plight of the park that I would like your feedback on and assistance with. Would you be interested in coordinating a public art project to place/install (environmentally sound) works of art in the park? We will need to act quickly and release a call to all community artists who may wish to participate. We can even hold an “opening reception” in the park as well…
While I am currently preparing my website and other campaign information, I would be happy to discuss my campaign with you further in person or via telephone. If this is a project you would like to support, please let me know as this is a very time sensitive activity.
Thank you and best regards,
Carson McKee
